1) OMHA rules will apply at all times
2) All games are 3 x 10 minutes periods
2 points for a win , 1 point for a tie , 0 points for a loss
1 timeout only in playoff rounds
Games may start 15 minutes early
3) There will be no overtime if round robin games
In playoff games there will be a 5 minute sudden victory period . Teams will play 3 on 3 .
If there is a penalty on OT the non offending team will add a player ( 4 on 3 ) .
Once the penalty expires both teams will play 4 on 4 until the 1st stoppage in play .
Then revert back to 3 on 3 .
If still tied after the 5 min OT then teams will have a shootout . Each team will pick 3 different players .
If tied after the 3 shooters the 4th shooter and on wards will be sudden victory .
4th shooter and on wards can be any player on the roster .
4) Tie Breakers ( in sequence no reverting back )
1) Winner of head to head game ( 2 teams only )
2) Most wins
3) Goals for divided by ( total of goals for and against )
IE: team scores 10 games and gives up 5 .
10 Divided by 15 = .666
Higher percentage advances .
4) Fewest goals against
5) Team that scored 1st in head to head play ( 2 teams only )
6) Team that scored the earliest goal in their game .
5) Any player / coach receiving a Match or Gross misconduct penalty will not participate in any further games
6) If games are running behind the timekeeper will post 13 minutes on the clock for the start of warm up .
The clock will continue to run until the first stoppage in play
7) At any time in the 3rd period there will be running time if there is a 5 goal spread .
If the score is brought to within 3 goals the the clock will revert to stop time .
Penalties will be running time if there is a 5 goal spread in the 3rd .
Clock will stop if there is an on ice injury .
8) Maximum score spread is 5 goals . IE: If a team wins 8 - 2 they will get credited with a 7 - 2 score .
