Congratulations to the Bantam Local League #1 team on winning Gold at the 2019 Bryan Bickell Cup.
Undefeated throughout, our Kings kicked off the tournament with an 11-1 win against the Clarington Wolves. An action-packed 4-2 win against the Lindsay Huskies secured our game in the finals later that evening where we were matched against our home town Bantam #2 team.
The final showdown did not disappoint. Our players fought tirelessly through the 3 periods beating out the Oak Ridges Local League #2 team, in a score of 3-2, speaking volumes to our players tenacity and grit.
This tournament win is a testament to the team’s competitive drive and focus. Excellent performances from all three lines, with rock solid goaltending, were key to the team’s success. Team chemistry was the main objective and the Kings no doubt were successful in reaching this goal.
